Following the Ministry Closely, Taylor Wondo

I grew up in a Christian family who appreciated the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Even though there are two different persons who carried out this ministry, actually there is only one ministry in the whole universe. Watchman Nee stood upon the shoulders of all the forerunners, in like manner, Witness Lee stood upon the shoulders of Watchman Nee. I am the third generation in a big family who follows this ministry. All together, five generations of my family follow this ministry closely, like Timothy followed the apostle Paul closely in his teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love, endurance, persecutions, sufferings as mentioned in 2 Timothy 3:10-11.

Initially, as I was growing up, I didn't appreciate this ministry that much. I took everything in this ministry for granted. It was my parents' choice. Not until I was a sophomore in college did the ministry that my grandparents had been following eventually become my ministry. Now, I can testify that it is my own choice to follow this ministry for all the days of my life.

Through this ministry, I have seen a lot in the Bible. The Bible is not just a history about God or even Jesus, but much more than that. As mentioned in 1 Timothy 1:4, it talks about God's economy, which is to dispense Himself in Christ into His chosen people that He may have a house to express Himself, which house is the church, the Body of Christ (Romans 8:10; 1 Timothy 3:16; Ephesians 2:22-23). This ministry is centered on this economy of God. I can testify that the more I follow this ministry, the clearer my vision of the Bible becomes to me. I am so blessed to be in such a ministry. I can say nothing else except, “Hallelujah, for His sovereign arrangement.”
